Okay, first: I'm doing the contest, starting now! It'll start today, April 24th, and it will end July 31st. That should give you pleeeenty of time to draw, yes?

Themes:
The themes are obviously going to be based off the four elements and the avatar.
Water: Spirit
Earth: Self-sufficiency
Fire: Perseverance
Air: Harmonious Pacifism
Avatar: Self-Identity
Yeah, these themes are hard. 8D But I'm giving you two months to work on them. >3 Think about them- you'd be amazed at what you come up with.
My reasons for each theme:
Water: Their connection with the spirit of the earth and moon is where they draw their strength
Earth: Their tenacious and self-assured attitudes, and their ability to defend themselves.
Air: Their light footprints on the environment and their incorporation into the environment. xD
Avatar: Self Identity because with all those past lives, there has to be some sort of confusion inside of them. 0:
For this contest, I want high quality arts. Like, seriously. I want this contest to further your artistic skills and stuff. 8D So I want some pretty epic detail. I'm gonna be super formal, so we'll have a grading sheet:
Background (0-10) ___
Number/Quality of Characters (0-5) ___
Anatomy (0-10) ___
Symbolism (0-10) ___
Color (0-5) ___
Incorporation of theme (0-10) ___
Keep in mind that this isn't just going to be 'who has the best picture' because some people are naturally better than others. :3 If you're like, an awesome artist, and you throw in a pic that's mediocre for you, but is still good, I don't want you to win. >>; If someone does a picture that's good for them, but not necessarily fantabulous, I think they might deserve a little more. That will factor in, somewhat, I think.
